Meezingen?
Choral Voices is altijd op zoek naar goede zangers en zangeressen, bij voorkeur met ervaring in de Engelse koormuziek. Als je lid wilt worden van ons koor kun je drie repetities meezingen om de sfeer binnen ons koor te proeven. We vragen wel van je dat je noten kunt lezen en dat je aan je zangkwaliteit wilt werken. Er is bij Choral Voices veel aandacht voor stemvorming en koorklank. Het tempo van het instuderen ligt hoog, zodat er eigenlijk geen repetitie gemist kan worden. Het instuderen wordt ondersteund door oefenmateriaal op de ledenpagina van de website. Na de drie proef-repetities wordt een stemtest gedaan. Als er plek is gaat het lidmaatschap in. Als er geen plek is kun je jezelf op de wachtlijst laten zetten. Na een half jaar volgt een tweede stemtest. We zingen elke maand een Evensong in de Nieuwe Kerk in Groningen. Daarnaast verzorgen we optredens her en der in Nederland. We verwachten dat je zo vaak mogelijk meezingt met optredens. Wil je meer informatie over de mogelijkheden om mee te zingen, dan kun je dit aangeven via het onderstaande formulier.Je kunt vast lid worden of op projectbasis meedoen. Er is altijd een mogelijkheid om vrijblijvend een aantal weken mee te zingen om de sfeer binnen ons koor te ontdekken. De repetities zijn op woensdag van 20.00 tot 22.00 uur in Multifunctioneel Centrum De Wijert / Helpman P.C. Hooftlaan 1, in Groningen. Neem contact op voor meer informatie.
Choral Voices is always on the lookout for good male and female voices, preferably with experience in performing traditional English choir music. Before asking you to join we offer the opportunity to rehearse with us three times to experience being part of our choir yourself. Willingness to continously improve your singing skills and the ability to read sheet music are required. Our choir pays great attention to voice training and developing the sound of the choir as a whole. Missing a rehearsal is not really an opxion due to the fast rehearsal pace. All new songs can be studied with materials made available through the dedicated member’s section of our website. After having joined three trial rehearsals we ask prospective choir members to take a voice test and will decide accordingly whether a spot in the choir is available or if a spot on the waiting list is offered. A voice test is to be taken once more after six months with the choir. Our choirs performs an Evensong service every month in the Nieuwe Kerk in Groningen, next to occasional performances throughout the Netherlands. We expect from our members that they participate performances as often as possible.
